Can I change the name on my magicJack account?

The magicJack Subscriber Agreement Section 8 states, "Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the Company grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-assignable, revocable and non-exclusive right to use the Services and the Associated Software on your Device ..."

To change the name on an account we require completion of the Name Change Request Form signed by both the current account holder and the new account holder. The form must be notarized and include the reason for the change request.

If I change my email address, do I need to notify magicJack?

Yes, you will need to login to your account at, hover over the Account Tab and select Manage Login.  Here you will change the account email and password.

If I move or travel do I need to notify magicJack?

No, you can use magicJack from anywhere in the world. Bring your magicJack with you when you move, travel, drive or go on vacation. magicJack requires high-speed Internet connection to work.

Note: Please make sure to update your 911 location when you move your magicJack to a new location.

What if I lose my magicJack password and/or email address?

Please click here and click the “Forgot Password?” button.

You must have your e-mail address OR phone number to proceed.

An email with your password will be sent to your registered email address.

How do I see the calls made on my device(s)?

You can access your recent call logs online by logging into your account at, hover over Account tab and Select Contacts and Call Logs option.

How do I delete or erase the call history?

Via the Desktop App

For individual calls, right-click on the number you wish to remove and select Remove. To remove all calls, right-click on any number and select Removal All Calls.

 On the magicApp

Delete as you would your cell phone call log.

How do I cancel additional year(s) of paid service?

You may terminate your use of magicJack at any time. Unused subscriptions are not refundable.

To disable Auto Renewal for your magicJack Device subscription:

  1. Login to
  2. Hover on 'Account' tab
  3. Click on 'AutoRenew'
  4. Toggle the Auto Renew button to select 'OFF'

Does magicJack offer vanity or custom telephone numbers?

Yes, we offer vanity or premium telephone numbers.  Any number that requires an annual fee is considered a premium number. These include the following:

  • Vanity: A specifically-requested combination of numbers
  • Custom: Chosen from a list of available numbers
  • Canadian: All Canadian numbers are considered premium

How much do premium phone numbers cost?

Premium numbers vary in price depending on the option selected. Current prices are listed below:

  • Vanity numbers: $10 per year (+ applicable taxes & fees)
  • Custom numbers: $3 per year (+ applicable taxes & fees)
  • Canadian numbers: $10 per year (+ applicable taxes & fees)
Does magicJack offer toll-free numbers?

No, we do not offer toll-free telephone numbers.

How do I get a telephone number with magicJack?

You will select a telephone number during the registration process. You will have the option to select a Canadian or vanity number for an additional $10 annual fee, a custom number for a $3 annual fee, or port an existing number for a $19.95 one-time fee. A $10 change fee may apply. All amounts listed excludes taxes & fees.

Do I have to give up my home phone number to try magicJack?

No, you are not required to give up your existing number to sign up for magicJack.  You can select a new telephone number to use with your magicJack.
